History

Pastor Lionel Cotanda is currently the pastor of the Fil-Am Worship Center located in North Long Beach, California. His pasturing days dates back since 1979 when he first attended bible school in the Philippines. He attended Cebu Bible Institute where he began his studies in becoming a Pastor. The following year in 1980 he had already became a student pastor at Talisay located in the city of Cebu in the Philippines.

The history of the church dates back in 1992 when Pastor Lionel’s home was being occupied as church bible study located at 4844 Oregon Ave. Then after a year, the church grew and was moved to the YMCA of Long Beach. Shortly after, the church finally moved to 6158 N. Long Beach Blvd. in the city of Long Beach. Pastor Lionel and the church have always believed in worshiping God in Spirit and in Truth.

On November of 2006, the church moved to Houghton Hall Community Park temporarily due to city polices, but on January of 2010, God and men brought back the church by rebuilding it and making it as a House of Worship for people to serve and learn about God.
